VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

16th June

ANTaR Qld is establishing 4 new working groups. There will be opportunities to get involved in the following areas:

  1. Closing the Gap

  2. Stolen Wages

  3. The Learning More Program and our Sea of Hands

  4. Reducing Imprisonment

The first meeting date is Sunday 16th June from 3-5 pm at Kurilpa Hall Boundary Road. If you are unable to make this meeting but want to get involved please email the office with your details and your area of interest at office@antarqld.org.au

RECONCILIATION WEEK AND SORRY DAY ACTIVITIES

27 May – 3 June

National Reconciliation week is held from 27 May – 3 June. The national theme for Reconciliation Week 2013 is: Let's Talk Recognition. The theme is about the need to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Australian Constitution. More information about this is available at http://www.reconciliation.org.au

 

NATIONAL SORRY DAY

26th May

National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year. This day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities.

Napranum Men’s Group Gathering
