Black History Month Events 2013 - Talk and Walk

On the back of a wonderful NAIDOC Week in Queensland we would like to further extend the invitation for you to be active in the space of walking the talk of supporting rights, justice and respect in our State.

A Talk

On Sunday afternoon we will host a wonderful talk at the Randall Studio at the Botanic Gardens with Ms Colleen Wall from Nguin Warrup ( Co-winners of the 2013 Queensland Reconciliation Award for Partnerships ). Colleen will speak to us about the role of cultural stories and in particular the story of the Native Bee as we sit in the foothills of Kuta ( Mount Cootha ) - 2pm 21st July


A Walk

Then on the following Sunday we can reconvene at the Gardens to take a walk with bush tucker guide Mr Danny Doyle as he walks us through the edible gardens of the Mount Cootha Botanic Garden - 10.30am 28th July
