DESCRIPTION:Ainslie Thompson is a proud Gooreng Gooreng and Yuggera woman. She has experience teaching middle years in both Queensland and Victoria. Currently\, Ainslie is an inclusion teacher at a school in Inala. She values this work as she is able to walk alongside children and young people and guide them on their learning journeys. In her spare time\, she enjoys many arts and crafts\, one of which includes weaving. \nKate Thompson is also a proud Gooreng Gooreng and Yuggera woman. She is a lecturer in Health and Social Work at the University of Queensland. In her spare time\, Kate enjoys weaving and other craft activities. \nWe will have the opportunity to craft something ourselves under their guidance. \nA donation of $5 per person is appreciated to cover the cost of materials. \nEveryone is welcome to join the weaving or simply come along for a yarn. \nWhen: MONDAY 3 August 2026\nTime: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm\nWhere: Holland Park Sports Club\, 49 Abbotsleigh Street\,\nHolland Park \nFind this event on Facebook \nThis gathering provides an opportunity to contribute to Queensland’s reconciliation journey\, to connect with likeminded friends and allies\, and to explore opportunities to collaborate with other individuals and groups.
