SUMMARY:Uluru Dialogue - Two Years of Silence - Panel Discussion
DESCRIPTION:On 14 October 2023\, the Voice Referendum was defeated when 60% of Australians voted No. Two years later\, it’s clear what that vote delivered. \n❌ No voice.\n❌ No progress.\n❌ No alternatives.\n❌ No meaningful analysis of the referendum.\n❌ No consequences for political lies.\n❌ No change to the status quo.\n❌ No closer to a unified nation. \nJoin the Uluru Dialogue this Tuesday 14 October at 12.30pm AEDT (11:30 am Brisbane Time) for a live online panel discussion with speakers including: \n\nProf Megan Davis AC  (Cobble Cobble) Pro Vice Chancellor Society\, UNSW Sydney and Gough Whitlam and Malcolm Fraser Chair in Australian Studies Harvard University 24-25\nProf Bronwyn Fredericks Vice Chancellor Indigenous Engagement UQ and a former Queensland Productivity Commissioner\nGeoff Scott (Wiradjuri) CEO of Just Reinvest NSW and former CEO of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission\, former CEO of the NSW ALC and former CEO of the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples\nAunty Pat Anderson AO (Alyawarre) Expert in Aboriginal health and co-author of the 2007 Little Children Are Sacred report and Chair of the Referendum Council.\nREGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTogether\, the speakers will examine the silence that has followed the Voice referendum\, and the policy consequences of the No vote. Because ultimately\, a vote No was a vote for the status quo. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe hope that you can join for this important and timely panel discussion on the 2nd Anniversary of the 2023 First Nations Voice Referendum.
