DESCRIPTION:On behalf of Murin Gari Gin Alliance\, we warmly invite you and your family to join us for our NAIDOC 2026 Family Fun Day\, to be held on Sunday\, 12th of July 2026 at Kupidabin Wilderness in Mount Samson. \nThis special community event is an opportunity for families to come together to celebrate NAIDOC Week\, honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures\, and enjoy a day of connection\, learning\, and fun for all ages. \nWe would be delighted to welcome members of our wider community to share in this celebration with us. DESCRIPTION:CLAIM BACK THE PARK: FOURTH FRIDAYS at FOUR \nDATE CLAIMER\nGIICA may have erected fences around the majority of the northern side of the park\, but these do not mean that we cannot access some parts of the park or that we should stop requesting GIICA to review their current fencing boundaries. \nWe held a series of catch-ups in the park in May and by popular request\, they are back! It’s time that we ‘claim back’ our park! The Pump Track is still open and is well lit after sunset. \nThe fight to protect Victoria Park Barrambin is far from over. Legal action is ongoing and we are absolutely not giving up. \nWhile that fight continues\, we want to come together in the park each month to celebrate this extraordinary place\, connect with each other and remind ourselves exactly what we are fighting for. \nCome for a little while or stay the whole time. Bring the kids and their bikes\, bring your neighbours\, bring someone who needs to see what’s at stake. \nWhere: Pump Track\, Victoria Park Barrambin (entrance off Herston Road) \nWhen: Fourth Friday of the month\, 4–6pm \nDates: 31 July\, 28 August\, 25 September\, 30 October\, 27 November \nBring: BYO drinks\, nibbles\, picnic rug and friends \nRSVP: HERE \nThese gatherings are a show of love\, community and determination. \nThe park is still here. \nThe fight is still on. \nIt is not a done deal.
