A Reflective Vigil – King George Square

Sunday, June 1 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEST

First Nations Action Network warmly invites you to join us as we gather to reflect on this city’s First Nations history, First Nations peoples lived experience and what the coming years may hold.

Stand in solidarity & goodwill with First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) peoples on this day as we mark reconciliation week with a reflective vigil.

Despite recent government policy changes, truth-telling continues; the telling of First Nations history, colonisation and its impacts, youth justice, deaths in custody, Closing the Gap, racism and continuing to advocate for our aspirations to heal and support wellbeing. On Sunday, 1 June 2025.
Assemble 5.00pm at King George Square Magandjin (Brisbane).
BYO something to sit on and candle or use your mobile phone light.
This event is open to all First Nations peoples, allies and supporters. Please bring your friends and family.
Please join us for this event at a time when it is more important than ever to listen to and learn from First Nations perspectives.
