Link-Up Sorry Day Breakfast

Friday, May 23 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am AEST

Link-Up (Qld)’s annual Sorry Day Breakfast will take place from 8am–10am on Friday 23 May 2025 at Cranbrook Place in Orleigh Park, West End (Brisbane). Join us for this free community event, as we honour the strength and resilience of Stolen Generations survivors and descendants, and show our support for their ongoing healing.

This year’s event will feature guest speakers Aunty Angelique Wittwer, a proud Stolen Generations survivor, and her son Samuel Songoa. Taken from her family as a child and placed on Melville Island, Aunty Angelique was later adopted by a non-Indigenous family and relocated to South Australia. Decades later, she began the long journey of reconnecting with her Warlpiri heritage through Link-Up (Qld). Samuel has walked beside his mother on this journey, gaining a deeper connection to culture and identity.

The morning will also include a cultural performance by the Wakka Wakka Dancers and songs by Royston Noell — proud Thanakwith and Wagadagam man, and 2023 winner of Australian Idol — whose soulful voice promises to make this an unforgettable event.

All welcome. Limited seating. See Flyer for Registration.
