Voice, Treaty and Truth in the post-referendum landscape with Prof. Megan Davis

Historical acceptance is a key pillar of reconciliation and a key part of the commitment made by the Archdiocese of Brisbane through our Reconciliation Action Plan.
In line with this, the Honouring Our Elders Speaker Event invites you to a conversation with Scientia Professor Megan Davis AC – a Cobble Cobble woman, constitutional lawyer, and internationally respected human rights expert, and co-chair of the Uluru Dialogue. As a key architect of the Uluru Statement from the Heart, Professor Davis will share her reflections on the Voice referendum, the state of Australia’s democracy, and the challenges and opportunities that remain. With insight, honesty, and hope, she will explore how faith-based communities can continue to support the Uluru Statement with courage, commitment, and a spirit of unity.
Professor Davis brings a global perspective, having recently returned from more than a year in the United States, where she served as the Whitlam–Fraser Chair in Australian Studies at Harvard University, Visiting Professor at Harvard Law School, and Bok Visiting International Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
Join us for a vital national conversation about the work that still lies ahead for our country.
Don’t miss this opportunity to listen, learn, and be part of a meaningful conversation about our shared future.
