GIICA may have erected fences around the majority of the northern side of the park, but these do not mean that we cannot access some parts of the park or that we should stop requesting GIICA to review their current fencing boundaries.
We held a series of catch-ups in the park in May and by popular request, they are back! It’s time that we ‘claim back’ our park! The Pump Track is still open and is well lit after sunset.
The fight to protect Victoria Park Barrambin is far from over. Legal action is ongoing and we are absolutely not giving up.
While that fight continues, we want to come together in the park each month to celebrate this extraordinary place, connect with each other and remind ourselves exactly what we are fighting for.
Come for a little while or stay the whole time. Bring the kids and their bikes, bring your neighbours, bring someone who needs to see what’s at stake.
Where: Pump Track, Victoria Park Barrambin (entrance off Herston Road)
When: Fourth Friday of the month, 4–6pm
