Truth Telling Mitchelton Library with Aunty Sharon mire Bell
Aunty Sharron mirii Bell is a Wiradjuri Gamilaraay woman, performer and educator, and founder of Indigenous Insights, an early childhood–focused cultural education and wellbeing initiative she has led since 2005.
Through music, storytelling, puppetry and interactive workshops, she creates joyful spaces where children connect deeply with Country, culture and their own sense of identity.
Aunty Sharron’s musical journeys weave traditional and contemporary tones, bringing to life native animal friends and the cheeky puppet Dinawan the emu to celebrate song, dance and care for Mother Earth, her waters and all living things.
Her programs support educators and communities to embed First Nations perspectives in classrooms and early learning settings.
As a children’s entertainer, singer-songwriter and cultural consultant, Aunty Sharron is a guiding cultural voice in projects embraced by schools across the state.
She is driven by her responsibility to honour her Ancestors and her continual dreaming story, inviting all ages to “walk together with respect, sharing, and caring for Country and for each other.”
